Junior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany, with a flexible remote-office setup and the option to work from almost anywhere for up to 2 months per year.

What you will do

• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to make deployments safer and more reliable.
• Help manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Monitor platform health, improve alerting, and support incident response.
• Containerize applications and support workloads running on Amazon EKS.
• Write scripts and automation for troubleshooting and operational efficiency, including responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Initial hands-on experience with Linux and cloud infrastructure through employment, internships, working-student roles, or substantial projects.
• Practical coding or scripting experience with Bash or Python and the ability to write, understand, and troubleshoot automation independently.
• Practical experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and automated software delivery, plus experience with Docker.
• Interest in developing Kubernetes and Terraform skills and using AI tools while critically validating their output.
• Good communication skills in English, along with strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
