Senior Software Engineer, Predictions (Mobile) (Web3)

Location: Hybrid (New York, NY) - required to be in person twice a week

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end mobile trading experiences, including market browsing, order placement, and settlement flows.
• Architect real-time UIs for streaming orderbooks and price charts using TurboModules and JSI.
• Integrate gRPC and WebSockets to power live trading surfaces.
• Create reusable UI components shared across the Predictions module and the broader mobile app.
• Partner with product and design to shape mobile UX for various contract categories like weather, economics, and sports.
• Establish mobile development processes, including testing strategies and release quality gates.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years building production apps with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and deep understanding of React Native internals (bridging, native modules).
• Experience building real-time, data-intensive UIs such as trading dashboards or live feeds.
• Ability to work in a regulated environment where changes require rigor and auditability.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the New York City office.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial or trading applications (orderbooks, charting).
• Familiarity with Expo, EAS, and OTA update strategies.
• Experience with native module authoring in Swift or Kotlin.
• Previous work at a fintech, exchange, or other regulated product environment.
