What you will do

• Build and maintain the software stack that orchestrates quantum computing, interfacing with hardware control and calibration systems.
• Productionize prototype code written by Quantum Engineers into reliable, well-tested, and maintainable services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for automating system tuning and calibration.
• Create software for scheduling the execution and analyzing the results of quantum algorithms.
• Collaborate with Quantum Engineers to write idiomatic, tested, and extensible code for hardware experiments.
• Deploy, monitor, and support the production platform via a team on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or work from the Boulder, CO or Austin, TX office.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience deploying complex software in production environments.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Experience developing and operating software in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and modern software development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust or C++.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Terraform.
• Experience building TypeScript/React frontend components.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Experience working in both large technology companies and startups.
