Senior Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Salary: USD 125,000–187,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and implement reliable systems spanning quantum simulators, quantum processor services, and platform infrastructure.
• Build tooling and core software used to develop, operate, and monitor quantum processors.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and production solutions in collaboration with product managers, scientists, and applications engineers.
• Write documented, maintainable code and participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize system performance and user experience.
• Support the full software lifecycle and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python experience and proficiency in a compiled or systems language such as C++, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with NumPy or comparable scientific computing libraries, AWS, databases, SQL, Git, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and software testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with open-source software, containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and performance profiling.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
