TL;DR

VP, Sales - Federal (AI): Leading a high-performing sales organization to drive revenue growth and new logo acquisition within the U.S. Federal Government with an accent on strategy, execution, and talent development. Focus on navigating complex Federal procurement processes, managing executive relationships within government agencies, and scaling high-performance sales teams.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US, Virginia mentioned)

Salary: $350,000 – $470,000 USD/year (OTE)

What you will do

  • Develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy for Federal accounts, including Civilian, DoD, and IC segments.
  • Own regional revenue targets, ensuring consistent attainment of new logo acquisition, expansion, and renewal goals.
  • Lead, coach, and recruit a team of Federal Account Executives to build a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Manage complex RFPs and navigate Federal procurement vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, IDIQs, GWACs, and OTAs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to influence the roadmap and pricing for the Federal market.
  • Maintain operational excellence through rigorous forecasting and CRM hygiene using Salesforce and Clari.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, with at least 5+ years focused on U.S. Federal agencies.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing Federal sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of Federal procurement processes, contracts, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, ITAR, CMMC).
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar annual quotas.
  • Existing network and relationships within targeted Federal agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, VA, HHS, Treasury).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience working with Federal Systems Integrators, OEMs, and channel partners.
