TL;DR

People and Communications Director (Strategic Business Partner) (HR): Building high-performance culture and leadership capability across hirify.global’s frontline operations in the United States & Canada with an accent on organizational effectiveness, transformation execution, and workforce/engagement strategy. Focus on shaping organizational design, simplifying decision paths, embedding execution discipline, and partnering with senior leadership to drive policy and change across complex, unionized, regionally distributed operations.

Location: Lisle, IL; Geographies: U.S. and Canada (Travel up to 20%)

Salary: $215,800 – $283,290 annual base pay range

What you will do

  • Serve as an enterprise-level strategic business partner to senior leadership for frontline operations across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Accelerate transformation by shaping organizational design, simplifying structures and decision paths, and embedding execution discipline.
  • Lead leadership effectiveness and capability building, coaching leaders to strengthen clarity, accountability, empowerment, and performance.
  • Drive organizational development and workforce planning, including end-to-end multi-district change programs.
  • Own culture, engagement, DEI, and belonging initiatives, translating complex strategy into repeatable narratives for frontline audiences.
  • Lead and participate in governance and policy/decision-making committees; manage a team of 2 senior leaders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive and successful Human Resources experience (or 12+ years equivalent experience), preferably in a multinational company.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Laws and experience working within them.
  • Strong organization design, workforce planning, and capability development experience, including driving multi-district change programs.
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize workforce, engagement, performance, and business data (e.g., Workday, BI, engagement tools) into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to lead projects across business units and lead others through change in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% across the U.S. and Canada.

Hiring process

  • Evaluation based on ability to meet role requirements and factors including skills, experience depth, certifications, and location.
  • Compensation includes annual bonus plan at 25% target incentive (70/30) based on company and individual goals.
