What you will do
- Conduct accurate and timely investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for assigned claims.
- Manage the claims lifecycle to ensure the most timely and cost-effective resolution.
- Build productive relationships with policyholders, brokers, carrier partners, and underwriters.
- Direct and monitor outside counsel and experts, ensuring they meet service standards.
- Utilize the internal claims system to capture critical data to support company models.
- Identify and escalate emerging claims trends across different industries and geographies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years litigating or managing dental professional liability claims.
- Bachelor's degree required; law degree (J.D.) or professional designations (RPLU, AIC, etc.) highly preferred.
- Must possess all required state claim adjuster licenses or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to succeed in a full remote environment with willingness to travel approximately 10-15%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Google Docs Editors suite.
- Strong communication skills and a bias toward action and documentation.
