What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional teams including actuarial, claims, network, and engineering to manage provider risk and reinsurance objectives.
• Own monthly financial closing processes, including settlement statements, invoicing, deficit collection, and reserves.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to evolve strategy around contractual provider risk and reinsurance agreements.
• Design and maintain effective internal controls to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of policies and processes with a focus on technology development.
• Support counterparty relationships through analytical support, performance monitoring, and supplemental reporting.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 5–10+ years of finance and/or accounting experience.
• Proven experience in healthcare services or health insurance.
• Deep understanding of value-based care contracts.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Nice to have

• Medicare Advantage experience.
• Experience with intercompany risk providers or similar agreements.
