What you will do
- Partner with cross-functional teams including actuarial, claims, network, and engineering to manage provider risk and reinsurance objectives.
- Own monthly financial closing processes, including settlement statements, invoicing, deficit collection, and reserves.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to evolve strategy around contractual provider risk and reinsurance agreements.
- Design and maintain effective internal controls to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of policies and processes with a focus on technology development.
- Support counterparty relationships through analytical support, performance monitoring, and supplemental reporting.
Requirements
- Must be based in the USA
- 5–10+ years of finance and/or accounting experience.
- Proven experience in healthcare services or health insurance.
- Deep understanding of value-based care contracts.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Nice to have
- Medicare Advantage experience.
- Experience with intercompany risk providers or similar agreements.
