What you will do

  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle Workers’ Compensation claims for self-insured and public entity accounts.
  • Manage claim files, including indemnity determination, income loss calculation, and treatment plan evaluation.
  • Develop litigation and defense strategies with assigned attorneys and handle depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Set and evaluate reserves using knowledge of MSAs and structured annuities.
  • Maintain system diaries and ensure timely payments to avoid state fines.
  • Coordinate with clients and excess carriers to provide detailed status reports and claim reviews.

Requirements

  • Active Adjuster license (FL 5-24, 5-20 or 6-20).
  • Minimum of three years of Florida claims-related experience.
  • Proven ability to negotiate settlements and interpret complex legal documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a paperless, digitally-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for client interaction.

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent professional work experience.
