Location: Must be based in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Scottsdale, or West Hartford. This position is hybrid and requires working in-office a minimum of two (2) days per week.
Salary: $95,000–$120,000

What you will do
- Adjudicate and resolve low to moderate professional liability claims, including litigated matters.
- Draft coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters, with minimal supervision.
- Manage defense counsel and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
- Analyze claims to determine appropriate and timely reserving according to best practices.
- Document claim files accurately in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify emerging exposures, claims trends, and suspected fraudulent activity.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of claims handling experience in Professional Liability or Specialty claims with an insurance carrier.
- Active insurance adjuster’s license required.
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
- Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal documentation standards.
- Proven ability to negotiate settlements of moderate complexity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for a customer-facing role.
