Salary: $95,000–$120,000

What you will do

• Adjudicate and resolve low to moderate professional liability claims, including litigated matters.
• Draft coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters, with minimal supervision.
• Manage defense counsel and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Analyze claims to determine appropriate and timely reserving according to best practices.
• Document claim files accurately in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify emerging exposures, claims trends, and suspected fraudulent activity.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of claims handling experience in Professional Liability or Specialty claims with an insurance carrier.
• Active insurance adjuster’s license required.
• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal documentation standards.
• Proven ability to negotiate settlements of moderate complexity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for a customer-facing role.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
