What you will do
- Define and lead the global infrastructure strategy supporting semiconductor design and engineering operations.
- Oversee Linux infrastructure, compute farms, enterprise storage, and revision control platforms to ensure availability and scalability.
- Drive 24x7 operational excellence, including incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Partner with silicon engineering, CAD/EDA teams, and executive leadership to align infrastructure priorities with business goals.
- Advance engineering productivity by implementing automation, self-service capabilities, and improving platform reliability.
- Develop long-range capacity plans and infrastructure roadmaps to support growth in compute and storage demand.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams, supporting 1,000+ engineers.
- 10+ years of experience administering large-scale Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS).
- Deep expertise in HPC and compute farm administration using IBM Spectrum LSF.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor engineering workflows, including RTL-to-GDSII flows and EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor).
- Expertise in enterprise storage (NAS/SAN) at petabyte scale and Perforce administration at enterprise scale.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Austin, Texas.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Git, GitLab, Gerrit, and GitHub.
- Knowledge of CI/CD for hardware development flows.
