What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building a state-of-the-art virtualization operating system.
• Define processes and execution methodologies to deliver on performance goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PMs, engineering teams, customers, and program managers) to deliver projects and roadmaps aligned to business needs.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to develop future leaders.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science (or related) with 12+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing engineers and projects in an R&D setting.
• Strong understanding of kernel-level OS architectures (Linux, Unix, Solaris, BSD-like systems, Windows, embedded real-time operating systems).
• Extensive kernel-level development experience, including synchronization in preemptive multi-threaded environments; experience with Intel x86 and Intel-based server architecture (AMD experience is a plus).
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills, plus strong C programming skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
