Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Must possess a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and a personal vehicle.
Salary: $26.82-32.37 hourly

(AFS) is a community-based agency providing integrated supports and services for children, youth, and families with a focus on mental health, addictions, and well-being.
What you will do
- Provide case management and develop action plans for youth (16-25) to secure and maintain safe housing.
- Conduct community, street, and housing outreach, including shifts on the Community Wellness Bus.
- Perform risk assessments, including suicide risk, and deliver crisis interventions.
- Support youth in developing independent living skills, budgeting, and healthy meal planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams at the AYWH and HART Hubs and community partners.
- Advocate for marginalized youth to challenge stigma and discrimination within the community.
Requirements
- Child and Youth Care Diploma with at least 2 years of experience working with youth and families.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and a personal vehicle.
- Experience using anti-oppressive and strength-based approaches with marginalized youth (2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, racialized).
- Must provide a clear Criminal Records Check, including Broader Sector Check.
- Fully immunized, including COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call.
Nice to have
- Bilingualism in English and French.
- Certification in Crisis Intervention, First-aid/CPR, ASIST, or Naloxone administration.
- Experience working with neuro-diverse youth (e.g., ASD or FASD).
