TL;DR
Staff MLOps Engineer (AI/ML Platform): Designing and owning the shared AI/ML platform for survey augmentation and fraud detection with an accent on training infrastructure, model serving, and observability. Focus on building scalable pipelines on Databricks and Kubernetes, ensuring reproducibility, and optimizing compute costs.
Location: Preferred base is Prague. Remote work from Germany, Spain, or the UK is also possible.

What you will do
- Audit the existing AI/ML training and serving setup to decide on necessary rebuilds and extensions.
- Build a shared AI/ML platform including training infrastructure, experiment tracking, model registry, and monitoring.
- Own training infrastructure on Databricks and Unity Catalog to ensure reproducibility and traceability.
- Develop a low-latency model serving layer (APIs, batch scoring) integrated with Java/Spring services.
- Implement observability for data/model drift and accuracy regression using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Mentor engineers on best practices and drive the adoption of AI-native development tools like Claude Code.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading ML platform work at serious scale.
- Deep expertise in feature stores, model registries, serving patterns, and ML observability.
- Proficiency in Python and Scala or Java (for Spark).
- Experience deploying ML workloads on Kubernetes and AWS (EKS).
- Ability to manage infrastructure via Terraform.
- Must be based in Prague, Germany, Spain, or the UK.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unity Catalog.
- Familiarity with GCP.
