What you will do

• Perform independent challenges of machine learning models used for credit underwriting and fraud detection.
• Identify model weaknesses and drive improvements in model design and performance.
• Collaborate with model owners to remediate validation findings and ensure robust model governance.
• Partner cross-functionally to maintain and evolve the company’s Model Risk Management (MRM) framework.
• Work with Internal Audit and Compliance teams to resolve regulatory and audit requests.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 4-6 years of professional experience in model development, validation, or data science.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning, credit risk management, and fraud detection.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like scikit-learn and pyspark.
• Degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Data Science, or Computer Science.
