Senior Revenue Recovery Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. The role may require travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $22.45–$24.70 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Research patient accounts to identify and recover insurance underpayments through automated prediction rules, manual review, and special assignments.
• Communicate with payors, file underpayment appeals, resolve account variances, and follow up until outstanding payments are recovered.
• Investigate root causes of underpayments, denials, and delayed payments with client teams and Contract Management counterparts.
• Document account activity accurately in hirify.global IQ, client host systems, and other tracking tools.
• Analyze trends, recommend improvements, and communicate issues to management.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards while managing multiple client-team priorities.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in hospital or physician insurance, revenue cycle management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of applicable state and federal insurance regulations and payer-specific requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple client host systems and use Microsoft Office applications.
• Openness to innovation, including AI-enabled process improvements.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States; applications from outside the United States will not be considered.
