People Operations Associate (HR Ops): Building the operational backbone of HR from the ground up for a scaling Series B company with an accent on systems, processes, and infrastructure. Focus on designing performance review cycles, compensation frameworks, and ensuring multi-state HR compliance.

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, USA (4 days office, Wednesdays WFH)

What you will do

• Build core People Ops infrastructure, including HRIS, employee records, and policies.
• Design and execute end-to-end performance review cycles and calibration processes.
• Develop compensation structures, benchmarking, and leveling frameworks.
• Create and manage structured onboarding and offboarding experiences.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws.
• Establish people analytics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in People Operations or HR, preferably in a high-growth startup.
• Proven track record of building HR processes and infrastructure from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS administration and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law and multi-state compliance.
• Ability to analyze compensation benchmarks and headcount metrics.
