What you will do

• Collaborate with the reactor team to develop new systems, assemblies, and mechanical parts.
• Oversee the manufacturing of machined components and transition designs from R&D to production.
• Apply expertise in machine design, kinematics, thermals, and fluids to create reactor components.
• Manage prototyping, documentation, and fabrication processes with external machine shops and vendors.
• Troubleshoot existing designs to implement changes that improve reactor productivity and yield.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or a similar engineering discipline.
• 2 to 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Must be based in the Bay Area, California for on-site work.
• High proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks).
• Experience with vacuum system design (semiconductor, aerospace, or similar).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participation).

Nice to have

• Understanding of electromechanical components and experience with PLC systems.
• Strong foundation in thermal or fluid modeling.
