Location: Based in London with a requirement to work from the Colchester office one day a week

What you will do

  • Lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable payroll processes across the EMEA region.
  • Integrate AI and automation technologies to streamline payroll workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Manage strategic payroll projects, including system implementations, transitions, and M&A integrations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure operational excellence and service standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with statutory regulations and GDPR.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in multi-country payroll operations within the EMEA region.
  • Deep knowledge of HMRC regulations and GDPR compliance.
  • Proven ability to act as a payroll subject matter expert and provide guidance to stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills, specifically XLOOKUP and data analysis.
  • Must be based in London and able to commute to the Colchester office weekly.

Nice to have

  • Professional payroll qualifications such as CIPP or equivalent.
  • Experience managing payroll within a shared services environment.
  • Experience in project management or supporting strategic corporate initiatives.
