What you will do
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across global entities.
- Coordinate and reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper eliminations during consolidation.
- Assist with the consolidation of financial results in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during audits and reviews.
- Support the development and implementation of global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Mandatory: Strong proficiency in German GAAP (HGB) and other European local GAAPs.
- Mandatory: Fluent English.
- Degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across geographies.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial systems such as Datev and Lucanet.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like Power Pivot Table (BI) and basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience with US GAAP.
