What you will do
- Manage monthly payroll operations for a portfolio of customers from start to finish.
- Ensure accurate and timely staff payments according to specified deadlines.
- Maintain the payroll system with current pay scales, pension rates, and tax thresholds.
- Calculate statutory payments (maternity, paternity) and holiday pay for leavers.
- Handle reporting to external stakeholders, including HMRC.
- Ensure strict compliance with GDPR and ISO27001 data protection standards.
Requirements
- Degree level education or relevant payroll qualification.
- Previous experience in payroll processing.
- Solid understanding of HMRC requirements, including Tax, NI, and statutory deductions.
- Experience with Auto Enrolment pension schemes.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and data analysis.
- Must be based in the UK.
Nice to have
- Experience within the education sector.
- Knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).
