Location: Hybrid from Rotterdam; based in the Netherlands; 40% office, 40% home, 20% flexible. With manager approval, work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year (max 2 consecutive).

What you will do
- Build and maintain backend services and integrations in .NET/C#.
- Develop solutions that optimize behind-the-meter assets (batteries, rooftop solar, and other installations).
- Connect data flows so smaller assets can join the energy market as part of 's VPP pool.
- Share on-call duty for a system running 24/7 in live energy markets.
- Drive Proof of Concepts and collaborate with architects on system design.
- Mentor medior and junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Around 7 years of backend experience with .NET/C# and building complex distributed systems.
- Experience designing and owning high-availability production systems at scale (ideally real-time or data-intensive domains).
- Strong event-driven architecture and async messaging experience (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or RabbitMQ).
- Hands-on experience with Azure, CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), microservices, and relational/non-relational data.
- Comfort with 24/7 on-call responsibility and leading cross-functional technical discussions.
- Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English.
