Backend Software Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with on-site attendance at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve cloud-based microservices.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and ensure thorough unit and integration testing.
• Take ownership of reliable deployments, sprint deliverables, and engineering excellence.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and software design improvements.
• Collaborate with Platform, QA, and other engineering teams across the full development lifecycle.
• Participate in chapter meetings, knowledge sharing, and cross-discipline alignment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software development experience in a general-purpose programming language.
• Good knowledge of .NET 5–8 or .NET Core 3.x and proficiency in C# 10 or later.
• Experience with XUnit-based unit and integration testing, EF Core, LINQ, and .NET Web API.
• Understanding of SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, and common software design patterns.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD in Azure DevOps, plus cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
• English at full professional proficiency and ability to work on-site in Barcelona at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with MSTest or NUnit.
• Experience with EKS and Terraform.
