Lead Application Engineer (PCB/EDA)

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand design challenges and propose technical solutions, methodologies, and best practices.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for schematic capture and PCB front-end flows.
• Debug complex schematic design issues, netlisting problems, library inconsistencies, and design flows.
• Conduct technical demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops for customers and partners.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and increase adoption.
• Create knowledge articles, tool adoption kits, and other technical documentation while providing technical leadership to small teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant industry experience in hardware design engineering, CAD, application engineering, or technical support; candidates with a master's degree require at least 5 years.
• Solid understanding of PCB design flows using hirify.global Allegro Design Entry HDL or OrCAD Capture.
• Hands-on experience in PCB design or the EDA industry, including product life cycle management systems.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into EDA workflows, best practices, and automation solutions.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with system-level design and large-scale schematic environments.
• Experience in high-speed and complex PCB design environments and the complete PCB design cycle.
• Exposure to Tcl, SKILL, Python, or an equivalent scripting language.
• Previous customer-facing technical experience.
