TL;DR
Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Technical Lead) (High-Speed, Mixed-Signal, RF Hardware): Architecting, designing, validating, and delivering advanced PCB-based test and measurement systems with an accent on high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, and precision timing circuitry. Focus on system-level hardware tradeoffs, signal and power integrity, board-level debugging, prototype integration, and leading multidisciplinary engineering execution through production.

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, United States

Salary: $123,800–$230,000 per year

Company

hirify.global is a public precision-technology company; Tektronix, its wholly owned subsidiary, develops electronic test and measurement instruments, sensors, and subsystems.

What you will do

  • Lead the architecture, schematic capture, PCB design direction, implementation, validation, bring-up, debugging, and production release of complex hardware systems.
  • Develop system-level electrical architectures and make tradeoffs across performance, cost, manufacturability, quality, schedule, and technical risk.
  • Design high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, digital, timebase, and precision timing circuits with emphasis on signal integrity, power integrity, reliability, and low-jitter clocking.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, laboratory characterization, prototype builds, integration, validation, and performance measurement of PCBs and instruments.
  • Coordinate technical execution with systems, FPGA, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews, establish engineering practices, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing complex electronic hardware from architecture through production release.
  • Deep expertise in high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, PCB, signal integrity, power integrity, and hardware bring-up/debug.
  • Experience with RF, timebase, precision timing, or frequency-sensitive circuits; transmission lines, impedance control, noise analysis, and precision measurement systems.
  • Experience with digital interfaces such as SPI, I²C, DDR, PCIe, or similar interfaces, plus laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and signal generators.
  • Candidates must be U.S. Persons or be prepared to obtain the required U.S. government export authorizations; continued employment depends on authorization.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience developing oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, signal generators, or other high-performance test and measurement instruments.
  • Experience with precision analog front ends, acquisition systems, calibration architectures, metrology, RF characterization, or VNA measurements.
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, HyperLynx, ADS, or comparable simulation and signal integrity tools.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and developing technical talent in regulated or high-reliability environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Engineering culture focused on learning, problem-solving, teamwork, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunity to influence next-generation instrument architecture and technical direction across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Work on precision-engineered products that support mission-critical innovation across industries.
  • Commitment to inclusion, diversity, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodations.
