What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, validation, bring-up, debug, and production release of complex PCB-based hardware systems.
• Develop system-level electrical architectures and make tradeoffs across performance, cost, manufacturability, quality, schedule, and technical risk.
• Design high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, digital, timebase, and precision-timing circuits, including low-jitter clocking and synchronization.
• Lead root-cause analysis, laboratory characterization, prototype builds, design reviews, DFx activities, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with systems, FPGA, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to deliver products.
• Mentor engineers, establish best practices, translate customer and market needs into technical solutions, and drive execution and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex electronic hardware systems, including ownership from architecture through production release.
• Demonstrated success leading technically complex hardware development efforts and delivering products to production.
• Deep expertise in high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, PCB, signal integrity, power integrity, analog design, hardware bring-up, and debug.
• Experience designing RF, timebase, precision-timing, or frequency-sensitive circuits, with knowledge of transmission line theory, impedance control, noise analysis, and precision measurement systems.
• Experience with SPI, I²C, DDR, PCIe, or similar high-speed digital interfaces.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, and related laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Ability to lead through influence, mentor engineers, align cross-functional teams, balance technical, schedule, and business priorities, and solve problems in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Essential duties are subject to U.S. Government export-control regulations; candidates must be U.S. Persons or be prepared to collaborate on obtaining the required export authorizations. Ongoing employment depends on obtaining the appropriate authorizations.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience developing oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, signal generators, or other high-performance test and measurement instruments.
• Experience with precision analog front ends, acquisition systems, calibration architectures, metrology concepts, RF characterization, and VNA measurements.
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, HyperLynx, ADS, or comparable simulation and signal integrity tools.
• Experience serving as a technical lead for multidisciplinary engineering teams or developing products in regulated, quality-focused, or high-reliability environments.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and building strong technical teams.
