What you will do

• Design and own the architecture of a real-time content platform, including data models and sync protocols.
• Develop backend services for collaborative editing and conflict resolution across distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Build frontend systems for visual, real-time editing experiences and publishing workflows.
• Define engineering standards for API design, testing strategies, and observability.
• Partner with product and design to translate ambiguous problem spaces into technical strategies.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and architectural guidance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of full product lifecycle ownership.
• Must be based in Canada (Visa sponsorship not available).
• Proven full-stack capability across APIs, data services, and interactive UIs.
• Experience with real-time/collaborative systems or event-driven architectures.
• Fluency in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, Cloudflare, or Azure).
• Expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL) and frontend architecture, including state management and rendering performance.

Nice to have

• Experience with visual or low-code editing interfaces (page builders, WYSIWYG).
• Familiarity with headless, hybrid, or traditional CMS architectures.
• Experience building developer-facing platforms, SDKs, or plugin APIs.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the web platform or developer tooling ecosystem.
