What you will do

• Establish technical foundation for new Canada pod, including architecture, engineering practices, and delivery approach.
• Extend and adapt US capabilities for Canadian market across frontend, backend, business logic, and workflows.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Operations, and engineers to translate business opportunities into technical solutions.
• Deliver maintainable, observable, scalable solutions across the stack.
• Contribute to solution design, rollout planning, business impact measurement, and technical improvements.
• Model ownership, collaboration, and technical judgment to build team culture.

Requirements

• Strong fullstack engineering experience building high-quality, maintainable systems and product experiences.
• Experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails, React, APIs, GraphQL.
• Automated testing and continuous delivery practices.
• Work well in ambiguity, take ownership of technical direction and tradeoffs.
• Data-driven decisions using business metrics like conversion, order value, revenue.
• Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience as early or founding engineer on new team, product, or market expansion.
• Health tech or trust-sensitive domains.
