What you will do

• Build and maintain interfaces between Epic and external systems using HL7, X12, and FHIR.
• Monitor interface operations to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity or formatting issues.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for new and modified interfaces.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for interface builds and workflows.
• Support Epic upgrades, system migrations, and new module rollouts involving interface changes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and end users to validate data integrity and interface functionality.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting Epic interfaces and integration projects.
• Must be certified with Epic Bridges.
• Strong understanding of interface standards including HL7, FHIR, and API-based interoperability.
• Familiarity with lab workflows, specifically genetic testing and LIMS integration.

Nice to have

• Certifications in additional Epic applications such as Beaker, Data Courier, Aura, or Care Everywhere.
• Programming experience in C#.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
