What you will do
- Lead 2–5 engineering teams through Engineering Managers, overseeing approximately 15–50+ engineers.
- Own technical delivery, operational excellence, engineering quality, and reliable execution across a major product domain or platform area.
- Define technical strategy aligned with product roadmaps, business objectives, and long-term AI transformation goals.
- Drive organizational and workforce planning, including team structures, staffing, hiring priorities, and the balance between FTEs, contingent workers, and AI-enabled capacity.
- Establish scalable engineering standards, including ADRs, linting policies, and AI-enforceable machine-readable rules.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Quality Engineering leaders to improve execution alignment and advance AI-augmented engineering maturity.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing multiple engineering teams through Engineering Managers.
- 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including leadership across complex technical systems and large-scale software delivery organizations.
- Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations and driving delivery, performance, team development, and operational excellence.
- Experience with AI-era workforce planning and organizational design, including adapting team structures, roles, and capacity models.
- Strong ability to define technology strategy and make investment decisions aligned with product roadmaps and business priorities.
- Understanding of standards as code and the ability to encode engineering standards into AI-consumable and enforceable formats.
