What you will do

• Perform biochemical genetics testing including Tay-Sachs, Enzyme, Amino Acid Analysis, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS/MS.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex laboratory instrumentation.
• Process samples and determine their acceptability for downstream applications.
• Adhere to QC/QA policies and maintain documentation for control ranges, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Monitor pending lists to ensure the timely reporting of test results.
• Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and reagents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Houston, TX, USA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• ASCP certification.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience.
• Direct experience with LC/MS/MS and GC/MS/MS.
