What you will do

• Serve as a designated CLIA General Supervisor for high-complexity testing under 42 CFR Part 493 and CAP standards.
• Provide daily supervision of laboratory personnel, including scheduling, workload distribution, and shift handoffs.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical, operational, and personnel issues.
• Oversee high-complexity molecular oncology assays, including instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Review and verify test results, quality control data, and investigate deviations.
• Lead training, onboarding, and competency assessments for laboratory staff.

Requirements

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or CGMBS license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, physical, or clinical laboratory science.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or high-complexity testing.
• Must meet CLIA General Supervisor qualifications under 42 CFR 493.1461.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques like DNA extraction and PCR.
• Strong knowledge of LIMS, quality systems, and laboratory documentation.

• Prior experience as a CLIA General Supervisor.
