What you will do

• Perform and report clinical laboratory testing across extractions, library preparation, enrichments, and sequencing.
• Supervise team members and monitor the activities of non-licensed staff to ensure procedural adherence.
• Manage quality control materials and troubleshoot assays and equipment deviations.
• Coordinate pre-analytical and post-analytical tasks in partnership with lab assistants.
• Train CLS and lab personnel on laboratory methods and provide guidance on deviation investigations.
• Support regulatory audits (CAP) and maintain necessary laboratory licensure and inspections.

Requirements

• Licensure: Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS) license
• Experience: At least 4 years of CLS experience in a clinical lab, with at least 1 year in a Lead role
• Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in sciences or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex, open-ended problems independently.
• Shift availability: Tuesday - Saturday (6am - 2:30pm).

• Experience with manual DNA/RNA extractions.
• Experience with manual library preparation.
