What you will do

• Serve as a designated CLIA General Supervisor for high-complexity molecular oncology testing.
• Provide daily supervision of laboratory personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
• Ensure strict adherence to CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory standards.
• Review and verify test results, quality control data, and instrument maintenance logs.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical and operational issues during assigned shifts.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and support SOP development and updates.

Requirements

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (or CGMBS/generalist license).
• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience, specifically in molecular or high-complexity testing.
• Must meet CLIA General Supervisor qualifications under 42 CFR 493.1461.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR and DNA extraction.
• Strong proficiency in LIMS, quality systems, and laboratory documentation.
• Ability to work the specified onsite shift (Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM).

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a CLIA General Supervisor.
• Background in medical genetics or oncology diagnostics.
• Experience with cell-free DNA (cfDNA) or next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth laboratory environment.
