What you will do
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for high-profile civic education contracts.
- Oversee statewide professional learning initiatives for up to 4,000 educators, including course planning and delivery.
- Direct the planning and logistics for four regional Civics Project Showcase events annually.
- Manage project budgets, including educator stipends, vendor invoices, and grant compliance.
- Lead recruitment strategies to ensure demographic representation goals are met in participating schools.
- Supervise staff and collaborate with vendors to ensure program execution meets quality and equity standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in program management, K-12 education, or state agencies.
- Demonstrated experience managing government or institutional contracts and formal reporting.
- Strong budget management and fiscal reporting skills.
- Must be able to travel within Massachusetts for recruitment, training, and events (approx. 30% travel).
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and digital learning platforms.
