Structural Engineer (Industrial & Advanced Facilities)

Location: San Jose, California 95112, United States. The role requires reliable internet service to support remote project performance.

What you will do

• Analyze and design traditional steel and concrete structures for advanced manufacturing and industrial facilities.
• Apply US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, with emphasis on wind and seismic provisions.
• Use structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam to validate designs and coordinate 3D models.
• Own assigned scopes and ensure deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate structural requirements with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Perform QA/QC reviews, mentor designers and junior engineers, and improve BIM workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE/PEng) license required.
• At least 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes and seismic design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM coordination tools, including Navisworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrixed team.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience designing industrial facilities.
