Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Lower Manhattan, New York City office; in-person work is required two days per week, currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year for New York City-based applicants, excluding bonuses, benefits, and potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design across the web platform and physical hardware interfaces, from discovery and workflow mapping through prototyping, implementation, and post-launch iteration.
• Design interfaces that help arborists, storm responders, utility operators, and other field workers inspect, triage, and act on complex geospatial, imagery, and LiDAR data.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, interaction patterns, and visual language.
• Translate customer-specific workflows into reusable product primitives across customers, use cases, and teams.
• Partner with product, engineering, forward-deployed engineering, customer teams, and sales to ship high-quality product experiences.
• Establish design processes, raise the quality bar, and influence product strategy for a new software and hardware category.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional product design experience, including substantial experience shipping complex B2B or enterprise software.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction, information, and visual design, especially for data-dense interfaces.
• Ability to work as a senior individual contributor and leader, including facilitating executive workshops, engaging with field inspectors, and creating Figma files and interactive prototypes.
• Comfort with ambiguity, scrappy early-stage work, and helping design practices mature over time.
• Fluency in designing and maintaining production design systems.
• Ability to work from the New York City office two days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing geospatial, 3D, or map-heavy interfaces.
• Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction, logistics, or other field and industrial sectors.
