Product Designer (AI)

Location: New York City, Flatiron office; in-person, five days a week

Salary: $100,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and redesign user-agent interactions across multiple product surfaces, from initial sketches through polished releases.
• Invent UI primitives that AI agents can assemble, edit, and explain in real time.
• Partner with product design to integrate agents into new and existing products.
• Spend time performing accounting work in hirify.global to develop deep empathy for accounting users.
• Work with founders to envision future product direction and translate it into quarterly bets.
• Study accounting, emerging LLM capabilities, and UX for generally intelligent software, then turn insights into product decisions.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience designing complex SaaS or AI tooling; exceptional candidates with fewer years may be considered.
• At least one 0-to-1 product launch.
• Experience prototyping with LLMs and understanding how AI changes UX.
• Ability to move from live whiteboard sketches with engineers to polished interactions in Figma.
• Strong first-principles reasoning, learning velocity, autonomy, and end-to-end ownership.
• Willingness to work in person in NYC five days a week.

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience owning a product end to end.
