Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Annual base salary: $118,000–$250,000 USD, with potential discretionary bonus and options.

What you will do

• Own product design end to end across consumer and professional experiences, including research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and interface copy.
• Establish and maintain a design system used across multiple front ends and engineering teams.
• Design decision, consent, verification-disclosure, onboarding, form, and transaction flows that make trust and expectations clear.
• Set accessibility and inclusive-design standards and ensure releases meet them.
• Run continuous discovery, user research, and usability testing, turning findings into shipped improvements on short cycles.
• Partner with product, engineering, and AI teams, and help shape the future design function through hiring, mentoring, or senior individual contribution.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience for the Senior level.
• Multiple consumer products shipped end to end, with primary designer ownership from research through launch.
• A portfolio showing a consistent problem-solving framework and measurable outcomes.
• Experience owning a design system used by multiple engineers or teams.
• Daily fluency with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools, combined with strong independent judgment.
• Recent hands-on experience planning and running user research and usability testing, plus strong writing and plain-language skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility products, high-stakes consumer flows, regulated or trust-sensitive domains, or two-sided marketplaces.
• Experience shipping products that met recognized accessibility standards and were tested with users of varying abilities.
• Experience as the first or only designer at a company.
• 9+ years of experience, including staff or lead-level work, for the Staff level.
