Technical Consultant (ERP)

Technical Consultant (ERP/Azure): Managing and maintaining high-availability ERP/CIS systems in on-premises and cloud environments with an accent on SQL Server administration and Azure infrastructure. Location: Must be based in Canada or the United States. Preference for candidates in the PST timezone.

Salary: $53,000 – $61,000 USD / 75K – 85K CAD

What you will do

• Manage multiple ERP or customer information systems (CIS) across on-premises and Azure environments.
• Perform system and database administration utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure (Azure VMs, network security groups, key vaults).
• Develop automation tools and scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Provide troubleshooting, issue triage, and regular administrative tasks such as patching and product releases.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and perform necessary weekend activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, or managed services.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience with Azure.
• Must be based in Canada or the USA.
• Flexibility to work on weekends (e.g., Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu) when required.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat, Tomcat hardening, and SSL certificates.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal/written communication.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, CompTIA+, Network+, or Security+.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Shell, or Azure CLI.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and virtualization technologies.
• Previous professional experience within the utility industry.
