What you will do

• Perform Oracle database upgrades and technology maintenance for single-instance environments.
• Install and troubleshoot software on Solaris, Linux, and Windows Server platforms.
• Manage Apache Tomcat-based web applications and optimize performance.
• Monitor database metrics, performance, and backup integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams including Network, UNIX, and Cloud Operations.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency.

Requirements

• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is mandatory.
• Must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
• Experience with Oracle Database management and upgrades.
• Proficiency in maintaining software on Linux, Solaris, or Windows Server.
• Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools like ServiceNow or Ivanti.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Apache Web Server and Microsoft IIS configuration.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and Ansible for automation.
• Experience with scripted backup and recovery procedures.
• Oracle Certification.
