System Engineer (Linux/Windows)

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
• Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across both Linux and Windows platforms.
• Deploy and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Ensure system security and compliance through log management and vulnerability remediation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or similar IT role.
• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Work hours: approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.
• Ability to pass a background check for security-conscious clients.
