Director of Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead engineering managers and individual contributors while building a high-performing engineering culture.
• Partner with Design, Product, and Technology leadership to define and execute high-impact initiatives.
• Resolve technical ambiguity, review design documentation, and guide architecture toward commercial outcomes.
• Lead AI adoption and integrate agentic development into daily engineering workflows.
• Improve SDLC workflows, including sprint structures, ceremonies, and review processes.
• Recruit and develop engineering talent, including individual contributors and managers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of engineering management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience managing managers.
• Strong ownership and the ability to lead teams through uncertainty.
• Strong commercial judgment with a customer-focused approach to technical decisions.
• Demonstrated success recruiting high-performing individual contributors and managers.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI development.
• Familiarity with two-sided marketplace products.
• Experience building products for the hospitality industry.
