What you will do
- Lead an established team of software development engineers building, enhancing, and operating software-defined controllers for AWS internet-edge networks.
- Identify opportunities and deliver software-defined traffic engineering solutions for global network infrastructure.
- Manage sprint planning, project goals, status reporting, and escalations up to director level.
- Review high-level solution designs and coordinate reviews with technical stakeholders across the USA and Australia.
- Monitor operational metrics and drive improvements in service security, availability, effectiveness, and software processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and network development lifecycles, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Experience communicating technical requirements, designs, product features, and strategy to users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
