What you will do

• Define and own the multi-quarter roadmap for Infrastructure Automation and Change Safety.
• Lead and develop a distributed organization of Managers, Principal Engineers, and Lead Engineers.
• Partner with Product Management and Hardware Engineering to align product strategy and KPIs.
• Provide architectural accountability for distributed systems design and AI/ML integration in production automation.
• Lead incident command during high-severity production events and drive systemic resilience improvements.
• Manage organizational resources, including budgets for merit, promotion, and performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience focusing on distributed systems, infrastructure, or cloud platforms.
• 5+ years of people management experience, including at least 2 years managing other managers and organizations of 20+ engineers.
• Deep technical fluency in cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes.
• Experience operating systems at 99.999% high availability standards.
• Proven ability to translate long-term vision into phased, well-engineered delivery.
• Must be based in Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI/ML or statistical models for production automation at scale.
• Proficiency in Golang, Java, or Python for conducting code and design reviews.
• Experience designing systems for safe, high-risk infrastructure changes.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling.
