What you will do

• Own and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate chart of accounts and consistent transaction application.
• Lead monthly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, payroll entries, and accruals.
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Prepare revenue journal entries in accordance with ASC 606 and stock-based compensation entries under ASC 718.
• Support annual external audits by preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Drive process improvements and automation of accounting functions using AI and system integrations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Latin America
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of GAAP principles, specifically ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 350-40.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and financial modeling.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active pursuit of one.
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology environment.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing PBC schedules.
