What you will do
- Set the technical direction for the Athena clearing house, making architectural decisions on data validation, workflow orchestration, and OSV publication.
- Lead the transition from rapid prototyping to a sustainable, production-grade product stack with operational rigor.
- Design systems to process, deduplicate, and extract signals from unstructured vulnerability reports from enterprise customers.
- Partner with staff engineers to establish domain ownership and technical standards across the team.
- Identify and retire technical debt accumulated during high-velocity prototyping.
- Advise on build-vs-buy decisions, capacity planning, and long-term architectural strategies.
Requirements
- Proven track record of setting technical direction for complex, production-facing distributed systems.
- Deep fluency in Go, GCP, and Terraform is required.
- Experience validating and deduplicating messy, unstructured data from real-world enterprise inputs.
- Expertise in transitioning prototypes to maintainable systems with monitoring, alerting, and SLOs.
- Experience building systems with complex customer entitlement and access levels.
- Must be based in the US, Canada, or the UK.
Nice to have
- Prior background in security-adjacent domains such as supply chain or vulnerability management.
