What you will do

• Architect and implement high-scale backend services for major game titles.
• Act as the primary engineering point of contact for external co-dev clients, collaborating with leadership to balance technical quality with production needs.
• Translate client requirements into actionable technical tasks and project roadmaps.
• Mentor the engineering team and drive the adoption of best practices in modular design, code quality, and testing.
• Design cost-effective online services based on projected concurrent user counts and scalability requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping multiple live games or high-load products with high concurrent user counts.
• Expertise in architecting distributed applications for hundreds of thousands of users.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, Golang, C#, C++, or Kotlin.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), ideally with AWS Professional certification.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Must be based in the UK or the EU.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Node.js, or React.
• Knowledge of how backend services integrate with Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Experience using LLMs to process and query structured and unstructured data.
