What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise commissioning and testing for electrical substations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams during commissioning, providing technical guidance and resolving on-site issues.
• Review and document test procedures to ensure alignment with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, design engineers, and clients to support project execution.
• Maintain project timelines, budgets, and safety standards across all testing phases.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited college/university.
• 10 years of experience in electrical equipment construction, maintenance, and testing.
• Expertise in relay protection, control systems, and start-up commissioning.
• Knowledge of Arc Flash safety training and electrical troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site across New York State.

• Bachelor’s degree specifically in electrical engineering.
• Specialized advanced training in SCADA and communication systems.
• Professional experience in substation energization activities.
