IT Intern (Data & Automation): Supporting the IT function by designing technology-driven solutions for business needs with an accent on database design and workflow automation. Focus on developing SQL queries, building Python scripts, and implementing AI-driven tools to improve operational efficiency.

Location: Hybrid in Morrisville, NC. Must reside in a U.S. state where the company is authorized to hire (excluding CA, CO, NY, WA, NJ, MA, IL, HI, and DC)

A global specialist Contract Research Organization (CRO) providing drug development, treatment access, and commercialization solutions.

What you will do

• Gather and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and support relational database design.
• Build Python-based scripts to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze data and present insights through dashboards using tools like Tableau.
• Evaluate, test, and implement AI-enabled tools and system enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, process maps, and user guidance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated interest in data, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must reside in an authorized U.S. state; residents of CA, CO, NY, WA, NJ, MA, IL, HI, and DC are not eligible.
