Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in East Syracuse, NY. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Salary: $92,200 - $115,300

What you will do

• Perform supplier selection and evaluations through technical reviews, quality system audits, and site visits.
• Monitor supplier performance using metrics such as defect rates and delivery compliance.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans using root cause analysis and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with engineering for new product introduction and approve AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Conduct source inspections at supplier facilities and oversee incoming inspection procedures.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior quality engineers on supplier quality management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality with 4+ years of experience (or Master's with 2+ years).
• Experience with supplier quality management systems and auditing practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; eligibility for access to classified information is required.
• Ability to travel up to 50% annually to supplier locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Department of War (DoW) programs and processes.
• ASQ AS9100/ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor Certification.
• IPC or other relevant industry certifications.
